In the heart of Miami Shores, a small

but impactful grassroots nonprofit is

making a meaningful difference in the

lives of children and families. Childhood

Experience Fund Inc. was founded

with a clear mission to enrich the lives

of children through positive childhood

experiences that create lasting

memories and a sense of belonging.

Established in 2021 in Miami, Childhood

Experience Fund Inc. focuses on

meeting both practical needs and

moments of joy. Throughout the year,

the organization donates Christmas

blankets, books, school uniforms, back

to school supplies, Easter baskets,

and holiday toys to local children.

Beyond these donations, the Fund

provides opportunities for meaningful

experiences through activities education

and community involvement.

The organization was founded by

Michael, Gianna and Jacqui Murdocco

who remain active members of

the Board and continue to guide

the mission hands on. The idea for

Childhood Experience Fund originated

after witnessing children miss out on

meaningful moments due to financial

or logistical barriers. The founders

believed every child deserves access to

experiences that help build confidence

joy and connection.

A defining part of the organization's

work is its focus on teaching children the

importance of giving back. By partnering

with local schools and the Miami

Shores Recreation Center, Childhood

Experience Fund encourages children

to take part in service projects. Young

volunteers help collect school supplies

assemble Easter baskets make blankets

and organize toy drives learning early

that generosity and compassion

strengthen communities.

One of the most meaningful moments

each year is the Annual Christmas Lunch

at Safe Space held in partnership with the

Calli Family. During this event Childhood

Experience Fund provides blankets and

contributes toys for mothers and children in

need. The aftemoon includes shared meals

activities and gifts creating a warm and

welcoming holiday experience for families.

This year the organization also

expanded its outreach by partnering

with the Women's Club of Overtown.

Volunteers from Childhood Experience

Fund donated items and supported the

Club's Christmas event serving families

in the Overtown community. This

collaboration reflects the organization's

commitment to supporting children

beyond neighborhood boundaries while

strengthening community connections.

Looking ahead the goal for the year

is to serve more children and families

increase community awareness and

grow partnerships that allow for more

opportunities and experiences. The

next event is a pickleball tournament

scheduled for April 10 at the Miami

Shores Recreation Center. The event will

bring together families, neighbors and

community members to raise funds for

local children.

Childhood Experience Fund Inc. welcomes

volunteers' partners and supporters who

want to get involved. Every contribution of

time resources or financial support helps

create moments that children will carry

with them for a lifetime.

When a community comes together to

invest in children the impact lasts far

beyond a single event. It builds stronger

families, deeper connections and a

brighter future for all.
